We have checked fit against the model since 2014.
Tavlixos is a catalog operation, trading as tavlixos.com and based at 77 Industrial Blvd, Büro 5, Austin, Texas 16719, United States. Six people run it: two on the counter and fitting checks, one who keeps the drawers stocked and reordered, one who answers inquiries, and two who pack and ship.
We didn't set out to be a big catalog. We set out to answer one question fast — does this part fit that model — and everything since has been sorting the shop around that answer. Clipper blades and comb guides for grooming, hinges and latches for containment, filter media and heat mats for aquarium and terrarium setups, D-rings and buckles for leash hardware, valves and float kits for feeding and watering equipment. Twelve items, six categories, nothing that needs a warranty card and a manual.
What actually happens to your inquiry
A fitting check is two people and a drawer, not a database lookup.
You send us a model — a clipper brand, a crate manufacturer, a filter size, a tank litreage — and the task you're doing. Whoever is on the counter that day pulls the part that matches the fitting standard, checks it physically against the spec sheet on file, and only then writes back with a firm price and a ship date. If the model isn't one we've fitted before, we say so and ask for a photo of the worn part instead of guessing.
This is why we don't take orders through a cart. A snap-on size 10 blade looks like a snap-on size 10 blade until you try to click it onto a block it wasn't cut for, and by then you've paid for something that doesn't work. Tell us the clipper model and we cut the blade to match it — that's the actual first sentence a customer hears from us, not a marketing line.
Every part that leaves the counter ships with the spec sheet that proves it fits: the blade size or wire gauge it's cut for, the load rating or wattage it's rated to, and the model numbers we've confirmed it against. If a part doesn't fit the model described in the inquiry, we replace it or refund it under the terms on our fit guarantee — that guarantee doesn't cover parts damaged by installation or misuse, and we don't claim a certification nobody gave us.
"A crate hinge is four dollars until you need it at 6 a.m. and can't find one."
That's the whole reason the drawers stay organised by fitting size instead of by brand name. A hinge pair that's mis-filed by manufacturer is a hinge pair nobody can find at 6 a.m.
What we stock
Consumables and wear parts, sorted by fitting
In practice that means a dog clipper blade replacement cut to a snap-on clipper blade fitting standard, a crate door latch replacement sized to wire gauge, a grooming table arm clamp sized to edge thickness, and aquarium canister filter media cut to the filter's own volume.
- Clipper blades in sizes 7F, 10, 15, 30 and 40, plus ceramic comb guides from 3mm to 25mm.
- Grooming arm clamps for table edges up to 38mm thick, and drain valve kits for steel and fibreglass tubs.
- Wire crate door latches sized to 4mm wire gauge, and galvanised run gate hinge pairs for chain-link.
- Canister filter media sets and adhesive heat mats from 7W to 24W.
- Welded steel D-rings rated to 60kg and quick-release buckles in 25mm and 38mm webbing.
- Gravity feeder flow valves and float arm and seal kits for trough-style waterers.
What we will not stock, and why
- Whole clippers, grooming tables, crates, tanks or feeders. Those come with a manual and a manufacturer warranty — ours isn't the right desk for that claim.
- Anything needing a certification we don't hold. We don't sell medicated products or veterinary devices, and we won't imply a licence we weren't issued.
- Universal "fits most" hardware sold without a stated fitting standard. If we can't tell you the blade size, wire gauge or webbing width, we don't put it on the shelf.
- Bulk pallet lots we haven't fit-checked ourselves. We'd rather turn down a wholesale order than ship parts we can't stand behind at the counter.
Talk to the counter, not a form robot
Tavlixos answers at office@tavlixos.com and by phone at +1 (222) 555-3617. Someone checks inquiries during counter hours, Monday through Saturday; a message sent overnight or on Sunday gets a reply the next business morning, not instantly. If you're mid-repair and need a fast answer on whether a part fits, call — the counter can often confirm a fitting on the phone before you've finished describing the model.
For everything else — a full inquiry with your model and task, or a request to see the fitting notes for a category — the contact page and the six catalog pages are the fastest route in.
